Will you take my hand in this 10 month-long period of planning an extravaganza? Well, sure!

I always knew that when my wonderful boyfriend of four years planned to get down on one knee and pop the big question, I would have months and months of preparations and planning ahead of me. I just did not know how much planning there was involved, and in this million dollar industry of weddings, how many choices a bride truly has.
Should you have an indoor or outdoor wedding, should you have small finger foods, only a dessert menu, or a full-course meal? How many bridesmaids? What type of flowers, how many people should you invite? All these questions run through a bride's mind when she is throwing "The biggest party of her life," as someone said to me recently.
So should I get overwhelmed? Of course. But should I enjoy every much-anticipated minute of it? Absolutely. For in the swirls of caterers and photographers, and decisions on linens and cake toppers, there is one choice I don't even question - to marry the man of my dreams, the one with whom I've shared laughter and tears, the one who I decided long ago was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with - and I've never been more sure of anything in my life.
