Benefit Velvet Eyeshadow in Nice Melons

Benefit Velvet Eyeshadow in Nice Melons is a beautiful peachy-pink color with a gold shimmer.  It is described on Benefit's website as a "papaya pearl."  This is one of the better Benefit shadows I have tried. I feel like some shadows in this line do not last as long as others, and even with a primer underneath, at the end of the day the shadow has started to fade and crease.
However, Nice Melons has nice color pay-off if you pat it on the eyelid. This eyeshadow has a thin consistency with a soft feel to the formula. This color is very similar to the Benefit's Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Sippin' and Dippin', and I think it's going to be very close to MAC's Tweet Me eyeshadow from the Peacocky collection. This eyeshadow is good for a "my lids but better" look.

While I think this is a nice shade to have, I don't think it is a unique color, and I really believe when I swatch MAC Tweet Me it is going to be very similiar and overall, a better quality eyeshadow.  Again, it's a nice color to have, but I definitely think it's not worth the price, as retail price is $18 at Sephora, Ulta, and Benefit.com. Sometimes Benefit will have sales on their products, and if you sign up to receive their e-mails, you will be notified when products like these eye shadows go on sale.

  1. love this, it would be very pretty paired with a medium brown for a natural eye (:
