Sinful Colors Rise and Shine

Ok, I think I've found my favorite teal polish so far this year! Sinful Colors Rise and Shine is another one of those great bargain brands; I got this pretty for $1.99. I may have even bought this when Sinful Colors was on sale for 99 cents, I'm not sure. ☺
Rise and Shine is the perfect green-toned teal with a subtle splash of shimmer. I love the way this color looks on my nails, and I would've worn it longer had I not had chips. Pictured below are two coats. Rise and Shine dries to a semi-matte finish, so a top coat is definitely needed.

This polish reminds me of beautiful Caribbean waters, and I'm just itching to go to the beach! What do you think of Rise and Shine? Thanks for reading! ☺

China Glaze Blue Year's Eve

Today I have another clearance find from Sally Beauty Supply ~ China Glaze Blue Year's Eve. Blue Year's Eve is from the China Glaze Holiday 2011 Let It Snow Collection. I didn't have time to do a Fourth of July manicure, so I painted my nails will this gorgeous blue instead.
First, I just want to say that I bought Blue Year's Eve for $1.99. Sometimes you can find some good nail polish in the clearance bin at Sally's. Blue Year's Eve is a two-coater, but I had to use two thick coats, because it was somewhat sheer.
Blue Year's Eve is glass-fleck royal blue shimmer, but the unique aspect of this polish is that it also has duo-chrome flashes of purple. I really don't think I have another polish like this in my stash.
However, I will say that Blue Year's Eve started chipping on me the next day. I'm not sure if it's because I took a shower right after painting my nails, or if it was the top-coat I used, but I definitely didn't get the wear that I expect from China Glaze.

Savvy Femme Couture Chocolate

With all these neon nail polish releases here lately, I've been craving dark nails. That's why I chose to wear Savvy Femme Couture Chocolate in July. ☺
I actually got Chocolate on clearance at Sally's a while back for $1.99! Anytime you can get polish that cheap, you've got a deal!
Pictured below are two coats of Chocolate. I also have Seche Vite over Chocolate as a top coat, but my nails aren't really that shiny here, because I took this picture after being at work all day. :(
I loved Chocolate, and the bronze/copper shimmer is amazing. Check out the clearance section at your local Sally's next time you are there!

China Glaze Rose Among Thorns (Neon)

How is everyone's week so far? I can't wait until tomorrow at about 6:15, because then it's time to get ready for our YARD SALE and then DATE NIGHT with the hubby! Can you say FUN? lol ;)
This post features an awesome neon jelly that I found at Sally's Beauty Supply a few months back ~ China Glaze Rose Among Thorns (Neon).
The pictures below are two very effortless coats of Rose Among Thorns, and can I just say that China Glaze never ceases to amaze me with their great formula. China Glaze truly is my favorite mainstream polish brand. I love the selection of colors, the price, and the awesome formula.
I didn't realize how BRIGHT Rose Among Thorns is until I went outside. Wowzer, it is definitely neon! I love it! :)
     Check out the pictures....

Rose Among Thorns is opaque enough to cover, but sheer enough to look like rock candy! I can only begin to imagine the different "glitter sandwiches" one can make with this polish!

Sinful Colors Daredevil

Wow! This might just be my favorite pink nail polish to date!! I mean it is just bright, fluorescent, bubblegum pink! Sinful Colors just keeps knocking out one great nail polish after another, and Daredevil is definitely one of them!
I stumbled upon Daredevil back Sinful Colors was on sale at Walgreen's for 99 cents, and I am definitely glad I bought it! The formula on this polish was PERFECT. Two easy, effortless coats that applied like butter. Daredevil also has a fuchsia flash in the light that complements the pink so well. You just can't find a better deal than this!
     Check out the photos below...

This is just THE perfect pink! I'm smitten with Daredevil. :)

China Glaze Tinsel Town

When I saw promotional swatches of the China Glaze Let It Snow Holiday 2011 Collection, I bought up most of the colors...except Tinsel Town. It didn't really impress me in the bottle. It just looked like another silver glitter. And then sometime in January I saw swatches of Tinsel Town here and I immediately knew what I had missed out on.
I then ordered Tinsel Town on Head2ToeBeauty.com, and now I've got swatches for you guys!

Tinsel Town is an amazing, blue-toned charcoal glitter polish. This polish is PACKED with glitter! Shown in the pictures below is only 2 coats!

I used two coats of Tinsel Town, one coat of Gelous, and one coat of Seche Vite to make the surface as smooth as possible.

Removal of this polish was no problemo with using the foil method, which I'll tell you all about soon! What do you think of Tinsel Town?

Candy Lacquer Dark Hearts

I think I'm becoming obsessed with black and red glitter polishes. Every time I need a new combination, I feel like I have to have it! And Dark Hearts in no exception. Candy Lacquer released Dark Hearts a couple of weeks ago, and it was love at first sight. I'll let the pictures do the talking...

This is two coats of Dark Hearts over two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

I just love how those red hearts peek through the black!

So, as you can see, Dark Hearts is a clear-ish base with shredded black glitter and red heart glitter. It did get a little goopy on me if I tried to move the hearts around on my nails because of all the black shreds, but the extra work is definitely worth it because this combination is phenomenal! OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls is a very, very light grey, and I love it as the background for Dark Hearts. I told you I can't get enough of black and red glitter polish!
What do you think of Dark Hearts? You can find Dark Hearts in Candy Lacquer's Etsy shop here when she restocks this polish.
