OPI Pepe's Purple Passion

I have another OPI polish swatch for you today! OPI Pepe's Purple Passion is a polish from the OPI Holiday 2011 Muppets Collection. I have really enjoyed OPI's Holiday Collections from the past couple of years.
I bought this polish because the color in the bottle was gorgeous. So when I started to apply the polish to my nails, I was surprised at how difficult the application was. The polish felt gritty and goopy, and it seemed to dry too much before I was finished applying it to my nails. I really do enjoy wearing OPI colors, but the Pro-Wide brush is a problem for me because the brush it too wide for my nails. That being said, the application felt even more difficult because the brush on this polish seemed uneven and caused the polish to be uneven near my cuticles.
As much as I hated the application of Pepe's Purple Passion, (And I've read on other blogs about the grittiness and thickness of the formula on this particular color, so my bottle must not be the only one.) I did really like the color. It is a reddish vampy purple with glass-fleck shimmer. I do wish the shimmer was more noticeable, but, oh, well.
What do you think of Pepe's Purple Passion? Are there some colors that are worth the horrible application issues to you?
Check out the photos and let me know what you think in the comments!! ☺

OPI Every Month Is Oktoberfest

Today I have for you swatches of OPI Every Month is Oktoberfest!

Every Month Is Oktoberfest is a polish from the OPI Fall 2012 Germany Collection. Every Month Is Oktoberfest is a darkened burgundy/purple with flashes of red/bronze shimmer. This color is so complex! I absolutely love this shade! I only used two coats for the pictures below. Every Month Is Oktoberfest lasted for a few days without chips, and I was pleasantly surprised. It's been a while since I've worn an OPI, and I had forgotten how long they wear!
I highly recommend getting this polish if you love the vampy nail colors of fall!! (Please excuse the tip wear in the photos below...this was after a full day of working with my hands!) ☺

Will you be picking up Every Month Is Oktoberfest? Thanks for reading! ☺

Essie Braziliant

I am not a huge fan of Essie nail polish. I LOVE Essie Shine of the Times, but other than that, I really don't like the Essie quality or price. However, I decided to give Essie another try when I found Braziliant at TJMaxx for half of retail price.
Braziliant is a gorgeous orange polish with subtle pink shimmer...in the bottle. On my nails? I don't know, but I just didn't think it was as gorgeous when I wore it. Maybe it was too bright for my skin tone? It also took THREE coats to reach opacity, and it was so streaky during application! I don't know what it is, but I with all of the Essie polishes that I have tried, they have all been very streaky.
Needless to say, there was not a rekindling of my relationship with Essie like there was with Shine of the Times. I haven't disliked a polish like this in a while. What do you think of Braziliant?

Milani Orchidia

Today's post features another awesome polish by Milani! Milani continues to amaze me with their formula, and their brushes are perfect because of how they are thinner and longer than brushes from OPIOrchidia was part of Milani's Spring 2012 Collection, and it is a must-have for purple lovers.
Milani Orchidia is a medium purple loaded with silver shimmer. This polish was just absolutely gorgeous. I couldn't stop staring at my hands when I had it on. It lasted for almost five days with barely any chips. I found Orchidia at CVS for $4.99. Pictured below are two flawless coats plus top coat.

Sinful Colors Leap Flog

I've got another Sinful Colors polish for you today! Sinful Colors Leap Flog came from a display that looked like a Fall collection. Leap Flog is a dark, murky, army green/grey in the sun, but in the shade it looks very different. Do you remember when you were a kid and after you would use paint brushes to paint, you  would let them soak in water for a while? Well, that's what this color looks like in the shade - That dirty paint water that's left over. :)
However, Leap Flog is one of those dirty, ugly colors that are chic and perfect for Fall, and I don't know about you, but I'm ready for Fall!
Pictured below are two coats of Leap Flog. Leap Flog was somewhat watery, but easy enough to apply smoothly. Oh, and I don't know why it's called Leap Flog, and not Leap Frog?

In the sun:

In the shade: (So glossy!)

What do you think about Leap Flog? Thanks for reading! ☺
