There is just something about a perfect red lipstick. In my opinion, Taylor Swift can pull it off best. I think she is gorgeous, and I love seeing a deep, red lipstick paired with her porcelain skin. I don't normally look to celebrities for makeup ideas, but hers is one that I love. She rarely goes over-the-top with gaudy makeup, and her look is classy and beautiful. Regardless if you like her as a person or her music, her style is definitely one that I look to for inspiration.
According to Frappelattes Beauty Blog, the way to get Taylor Swift's perfect red lips is to line lips with Covergirl Outlast Smoothwear Lip Liner in Ruby, then apply Covergirl Outlast Smoothwear Lip Color in Red Satin, and the red lip look should stay put for up to 8 hours. I will definitely be trying this lip combination soon!
There are also a few red lipsticks on my list to try, such as Maybelline ColorSensational LipColour in Are You Red-dy ($6-7), Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick in Cherries in the Snow ($6-7), and MAC lipstick in Russian Red and Ruby-Woo ($14.50). Revlon's Cherries in the Snow was reportedly a favorite of Marilyn Monroe and has been a staple red lipstick for decades.
What are your favorite red lipsticks? Also, are there any celebrities or anyone you know that you just love their makeup style and find them as inspiration? Please, let me know! :)

My Attempt at a Valentines' Day Classic Pinup Look
For Valentines' Day this year I decided to make an attempt at the classic 'pinup' girl look, with thick, black, winged eyeliner, a neutral eyeshadow, bronzed cheeks, and a fiery red lip.
In the look below I used:
Chanel Mat Lumiere Foundation in Clair 1.0 all over face
Tarte Park Ave Princess Mineral Bronzer under my cheekbones
Urban Decay Primer Potion as a base on the eyelids
Smashbox Eyeshadow in Vapor on the eyelids
Stila Smudge Pot in Black for winged eyeliner
Stila Major Lash Black Mascara
Benefit Eye Bright Pencil for lower waterline
Stila Kitten Eyeshadow (I know it's an eyeshadow, but I love it for a highlighter!) for above the cheekbones and brow bones
For the above lip look I used Tarte LipSurgence Natural Matte Lip Stain in Fiery as a base with MAC Venomous Villains Cruella DeVil Lipglass in Wicked Ways on top for a glossy finish.
Overall, I was happy with the look, however, I wish I would've made the winged eyeliner shorter and more curled at the edges. Have you ever tried the 'pinup' look? How did you do your makeup this Valentines'? ♥
