Color Club Insta-This

I have been a Birchbox subscriber for about a year and a half now, and I really look forward to getting my Birchbox in the mail, especially when I receive nail polish! Last month Birchbox had a custom Color Club collection, and I received Put a Pin In It, which is a light bronze shade with silver shimmer. The color didn't grab my attention much, so I haven't worn it, yet. However, my friend Cynthia also gets Birchbox, and she got Color Club Insta-This in her Birchbox, and she gave it to me because she said she would never wear it, and I am so glad she did!
Color Club Insta-This is the most vibrant, beautiful, unique shade of blue that I have in my collection thus far. I can't tell you how many compliments I received on this color! I know I say this a lot, but this is one of my favorite blues! ☺
Pictured below are two coats plus top coat:

From what I can tell this is a Birchbox-only color, so here is the link to purchase it:

What do you think about Insta-This? Thanks for reading! ☺

Color Club Wild at Heart

I've got a a beautiful holographic polish for you today! This is the second time I've worn Color Club Wild at Heart, which is a dark purple holographic polish that comes alive in the light!
I used two coats plus top coat for the pictures below. I had a lot of tip wear in these photos, so I'm not sure if it's because of how much I worked with my hands that day, or because of the polish. Either way, the polish is still definitely worth wearing.

What do you think of Wild at Heart? You can still find this polish at Head2ToeBeauty.com. Thanks for reading! ♥

St. Patrick's Day Mani #2: Irish Tuxedo

How is everyone's weekend so far? My weekend is off to a great start, I spent the morning with my husband before he went to work, and tonight I am going shopping with my mom.
Today I am going to show you another St. Patrick's Day manicure called the Irish Tuxedo. I did a black and white tuxedo pedicure a few weeks ago here. I've been wanting to do a tuxedo manicure for a while now, so I decided to do a green one for SPD.
First, I used one coat of Get A Clue and one coat of Incognito from Color Club's Alter Ego Collection. I used one coat of each color to try and get a nude color for my base, but it ended up being more pink than nude. In the end, though, I liked how the green and pink looked together.
I then used green acrylic paint to paint the bow ties and tips, and then I used my dotting tool from Sephora to make the buttons. The acrylic paint keep peeling off of my tips, so I put a coat of Revlon Emerald City over the paint on my tips to make the manicure last longer. I then topped everything off with a coat of Poshe.

The picture below was right after I was finished, before I cleaned the paint from my skin around the nails.

Overall, I really really liked this manicure. The hardest part was making a straight line for my tips. This manicure is a somewhat toned down SPD manicure, but I just love how the green looked! I'm calling this the Irish Tuxedo manicure!
What do you think? Have you every tried a tuxedo manicure?

Haulage

Here is a haul I did a couple of months ago. The top row are all Sinful Colors, and they were all on sale for $0.99 each. A lot of dark, vampy colors that I can swatch closer to fall. (Or just whenever I'm craving a dark mani.) ☺ The bottom row is a pack of Color Club colors that actually did not have names on them individually, which was kind of frustrating. I think the whole pack of colors was around $6-7 at Ross Dress for Less. What hauls have you done lately?

Color Club You Got Soul-ar from Starry Temptress Collection 2011

This is the first nail polish that I have tried from Color Club, and I was really impressed with it! You Got Soul-ar is a bright orange, and indoors it looks slightly neon, but outdoors, it completely changes to an eye-catching safety-cone wow-ser orange! This color is definitely not for the neutral nail polish lovers. This is for those who like something a little different; it's a color that begs for attention when you walk by.
All of the colors from the Starry Temptress collection have glitter in them, but after the polish dries on the nails, the glitter kind of settles into the color, I think imitating stars in the night sky. That is why the collection also has a glitter topcoat, which is a clear polish with multi-colored glitter, and I do have that top coat on in these pictures. I used two coats of You Got Soul-ar, plus one coat of the glitter top coat in the pictures below.
You Got Soul-ar is perfect for summer, when you are lying by the pool and you need a bright flash of color on your tips. I got these for $3 each at head2toebeauty.com. What do you think? Too bright or just right? :)
