Candy Lacquer Dark Hearts

I think I'm becoming obsessed with black and red glitter polishes. Every time I need a new combination, I feel like I have to have it! And Dark Hearts in no exception. Candy Lacquer released Dark Hearts a couple of weeks ago, and it was love at first sight. I'll let the pictures do the talking...

This is two coats of Dark Hearts over two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls.

I just love how those red hearts peek through the black!

So, as you can see, Dark Hearts is a clear-ish base with shredded black glitter and red heart glitter. It did get a little goopy on me if I tried to move the hearts around on my nails because of all the black shreds, but the extra work is definitely worth it because this combination is phenomenal! OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls is a very, very light grey, and I love it as the background for Dark Hearts. I told you I can't get enough of black and red glitter polish!
What do you think of Dark Hearts? You can find Dark Hearts in Candy Lacquer's Etsy shop here when she restocks this polish.

Candy Lacquer Peyton

I've got another awesome Etsy nail polish find for you today! I was recently able to buy a few nail polishes from the Etsy shop Candy Lacquer, which has a ton of awesome glitter polishes when the owner re-stocks. I bought Peyton because I love a holographic polish. Peyton is described as a "holographic top coat made with spectraflair pigment." The reason I bought Peyton is because it is a top coat, so I can paint it over any polish and make it holographic!
This is one coat of Candy Lacquer Peyton over one coat of Wet N Wild Black Creme.
     Check out the photos below...

Don't pay attention the the paint near the cuticles! This was before clean-up! :)

Look at that linear holographic goodness!

I think Peyton is one of my favorite nail polishes to date! Peyton has so many possibilities; I can't wait to try it over different colors. You can find Candy Lacquer polish here. I definitely recommend checking out her shop because she carries very unique glitter polishes. What do you think about Peyton?

F4Polish Pink Penguin

Ok, so the people who make and sell Indie nail polish on Etsy right now are really knocking it out of the park with so many beautiful creations! One of the shops on Etsy right now that makes nail polish is f4polish, and the polish is hand-blended by three sisters. Here is a link for their shop - f4polish
I ordered Pink Penguin because it looked unique from anything else I've seen before. Pink Penguin is described as "a clear base with black and white matte fine glitters and matte pink hex glitters." Matte glitters are so popular in the Indie nail polish world right now because you just can't get them in mail stream lines like OPI and China Glaze. It's also because they're so cool!
Let me show you some pictures of Pink Penguin:

The pictures above and below are of two coats of Pink Penguin over Sinful Colors Pink Forever.

I love the combination of black, pink, and white in this polish!
Above is one coat of Pink Penguin over Sinful Colors Pink Forever

 Two coats
I wish I had used black polish underneath instead so the pink hex glitters would be more obvious!

 With flash, One Coat

So, what do you think of Pink Penguin? I will say that f4polish has great customer service because after I saw pictures of this polish, I messaged them and asked when it would be available again, and they sent me a message saying they were about to re-list the polish, and if I didn't get one that they would create a custom listing for me. That was pretty nice of them!
I definitely recommend checking f4polish out!

Nerd Lacquer Warrior Ethos

Ok, quick post today, but can I just say that Etsy nail polish sellers are really hitting it out of the park here lately with all of their amazingly unique concoctions? I will be showing some other new Etsy polish I have soon, but today I am going to show you Warrior Ethos. I ordered Warrior Ethos from Nerd Lacquer a few months ago before I knew how great their polish was, and now their shop on Etsy is closed at the moment, so I hope it reopens soon so I can check out their other polishes.
     Anyway, onto the polish...

Nerd Lacquer's Warrior Ethos is described as, "a bright, blood red with black, iridescent, copper, and red glitter, plus medium black hexagonal glitter, and large copper hexagonal glitter." It is meant to be opaque in two coats, or used as a top coat over a red polish.
This polish applies like a jelly, in that it becomes opaque, but still has a visible, "rock-candy" finish. I knew this polish was a jelly, but I wanted to see how it would look over a red creme polish, so I used two coats of Warrior Ethos over one coat of China Glaze Poinsettia. Can I just say that I love this combination???

What really makes Warrior Ethos unique is the black glitter dispersed throughout. Black and red look great together, and the combination in this polish is no exception.

The only negative aspect of Warrior Ethos is that I did have trouble getting some of the larger glitter onto the brush and onto my nails. It did seem to want to stick to the sides of the bottle.

But check out how pretty the glitter in the bottle is...lol

What do you think about Warrior Ethos? Keep checking back to Nerd Lacquer's shop here to see when it reopens. Have you ever bought nail polish off of Etsy?
