China Glaze Electropop Bottle Shots!

     China Glaze's Spring 2012 collection is called Electropop, and it is made of up of pastel cremes and bright, happy colors. This collection has really made me look forward to upcoming 2012 collections, and brought me out of wearing a lot of dark colors that I wear during the Fall and Winter.

     Here are the first four colors I have from this collection. From left to right:

Gothic Lolita, Wicked Style, Aquadelic, and Techno

 Aren't they gorgeous?

I still have my eye on Electric Beat.

OPI Nicki Minaj Fly

     To be honest, when I first started seeing swatches of OPI's Nicki Minaj collection, I didn't really see one that I had my eye on. It wasn't until I saw a picture of it on this blog that I knew I had to have it. So I promptly called my local JC Penney Salon because I hadn't seen the collection at Ulta, yet, and lucky me, they were two dollars off each. ☺

     Fly is such a gorgeous, dusty, teal creme that leans a little more blue. Fly reminds me of western clothing and deep turquoise jewelry. It's fun without being too bright, and this color and China Glaze's Electro Pop collection has brought me out of the vampy colors of Fall and Winter.

                       

       The pictures make Fly look a little bit lighter than in real life. Fly is just a tad darker, deeper teal.

 I love the duskiness of this color.

Fly was just two effortless coats.

     Fly just may be my favorite color of 2012, so far. I know it won't keep that title for long...have you SEEN OPI's Holland collection that's coming up? Look at OPI I Don't Give a Rotterdam here. So gorgeous!

Phat Santa Candy Cane Stripes

 In today's post I'm going to show you a candy cane manicure I did around Christmas. I used two coats of China Glaze Phat Santa, which is a beautiful blue-based red. I had this color on for a few days by itself before I added the accent nail, so you'll notice a little tip-wear in the photos. For the candy cane stripes I used  the Sinful Colors nail art polishes (the skinny bottles with the long, narrow brush) in white and silver glitter.

Red and White Polka Dots

Hello, everyone! I have a polka dot mani to show you guys today. I had seen a lot of dotted manicures around the web, and while I have tried to make dots with a nail polish brush before, they just didn't come out completely round. So I finally went to Sephora and bought a dotting tool (My husband said, "A what tool?" lol) for about $7, and I love it so much I pretty much carry it around with my day-to-day emergency nail tools.

First, I painted my nails with one of my favorite reds, Sinful Colors Ruby Ruby. I painted an accent nail on my ring finger with Sinful Colors Snow Me White. Ruby Ruby flows great, but Snow Me White was patchy and reminded me a little of white-out, but that was the only white polish I had on hand. I then took my dotting tool and used white acrylic paint that I bought at Wal-Mart and dotted white on the red. I then dotted red acrylic paint on the white accent nail, but it looked too orange to me, so I went over the red dots with a red glitter. A little bling and some dots. ^_^

Wet N Wild Color Icon Bottle Shots!

Here is a bottle shot of the Wet N Wild Color Icon glitter collection! I found these at Walgreens, hopefully there are some bottles left so you can check these pretties out!

Nars Zulu and Wet 'N Wild Kaleidoscope

    Here are a few pictures of a combination with three coats of Nars Zulu and two coats of Wet 'N Wild Kaleidoscope on top.  Zulu is such a dark, beautiful green jelly. I ended up really loving it, even though it took a few coats to even out. It wore so long on me, I just finally had to remove it because I was ready for another polish! Kaleidoscope has small, silver glitter in a clear base with holographic glitter scattered throughout. This polish is so beautiful layered over other colors! When layered over Zulu, the combination looks so Christmas-y! It reminds me of a lit Christmas tree! I love both colors, and I will be wearing them more in the future.

I'm sorry I haven't written a post in a few months. Things have been crazy; I got married and moved at the same time, so there has been little time for blogs!
