While constantly on the prowl for a great makeup remover that also cleans dirt and leaves my face feeling refreshed, I decided to try Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes because I've been satisfied with the Yes to Carrots line in the past, and because it is a "natural" line of skin care.
What is different about the Yes to Cucumbers Facial Towelettes? According to the Yes to Carrots website, the towelettes "gently remove dirt, sweat and makeup without the need to rinse!" The towelettes are only available in the US, and are 98.7% natural, biodegradable, dermatologically tested, oil-free, and hypoallergenic. They are advertised for sensitive skin, priced at 5.99, can be found at Walgreens, and contain organic cucumbers, aloe vera, and green tea for a variety of skin-saving ingredients.
Sounds just about perfect, right?
I really wanted to believe in this product. I really, really did. I'm all about natural ingredients and anything to help the environment. But, I just couldn't get on board with this one!
I consider my face to be combination to dry skin, so naturally, I would assume this would help moisturize my face during these harsh winter months when dehydrated skin abounds.
However, this towelette made my face much, much worse! It made my skin very irritated, and very red. I thought it was my moisturizer, my sunscreen, my new MAC foundation (gasp!), anything but my prized, organic facial towelettes.
After a few experiments, I did come to the realization that it was, indeed, these towelettes, which promised me so much, but delivered so little with my splotchy, uneven skin.
I promptly returned these to my closest Walgreens, and sadly, I related my story to the cashier, and unsurprisingly, she told me she had the same problem with this product.
For now I am still on the quest for the perfect makeup-remover-sans-water-towelette. Until then, I will be sticking to my Neutrogena facial wipes, which I will be reviewing soon, and as of right now, are as close to perfect as I can get.

Wet N Wild Fast Dry Nail Polish in 'Teal of Fortune'
Wet N Wild has surprised us all with the high quality of their products lately. Their eye shadow palettes are getting rave reviews all over the beauty blogging universe, so while strolling through my local CVS, I saw a display of new Wet N Wild nail polish, and I decided to pick a couple up.
There were many bright colors to choose from, such as bright oranges and reds, and while I like a bright nail polish, it's still Winter, so I chose a nice glittery blue-green, named 'Teal of Fortune.'
These pictures do not do this polish justice! 'Teal of Fortune' shimmers and glitters like the Caribbean Sea, and while it also could be a very tropical color to sport during summer, I felt it was a deep enough teal to pull off in the coldest of Winters.
The best part? Besides the fact that I've had it on for two days with a clear top coat and it hasn't chipped yet, it was only 1.99 at CVS!!!
Wet N Wild nail polishes are definitely worth a trip to your local CVS this season.
UPDATE: This polish definitely lasted at least five days on me. It did, however, leave my nails slightly stained blue after I removed the polish.
What do you think? Will you be visiting your local CVS for these?

NYX ♥ Candy Glitter Liner in Gold
I was first introduced to NYX Candy Glitter Eye Liner in a tutorial on Makeup Geek, and I loved the way Marlena used it in a look. The look was a Holiday party dark smokey eye paired with coral-orange lips and a pop of gold glitter on the inner lash-lines. It was gorgeous, so I went out to my nearest Ulta to grab a couple of colors.
NYX makes a whole line of Candy Glitter Eye Liners, and they are all very pretty, and very colorful. They are also very budget-friendly, as they are available at Ulta for 4.79 each, and many times are 'buy one, get one half-off.'
One of the glitter liners I purchased is Gold, and all of the glitter in the liner is made up of a true gold color.
This liner is great if you don't want just a solid stripe of color, as this is a clear liquid liner with gold glitter in it. It is nice for a dramatic, date-night look, or just a little added sparkle to a naked, neutral eye. It also lasts for several hours on me. I really recommend to check out this line of glitter liners, I'm sure you will find a color to love!

I really like the packaging of these liners, with a cute black tassle on the top; it adds a bit of glam to the product. I also like how you get a lot of glitter liner for your money - this liner is 10g worth of product.

Will you take my hand in this 10 month-long period of planning an extravaganza? Well, sure!
I always knew that when my wonderful boyfriend of four years planned to get down on one knee and pop the big question, I would have months and months of preparations and planning ahead of me. I just did not know how much planning there was involved, and in this million dollar industry of weddings, how many choices a bride truly has.
Should you have an indoor or outdoor wedding, should you have small finger foods, only a dessert menu, or a full-course meal? How many bridesmaids? What type of flowers, how many people should you invite? All these questions run through a bride's mind when she is throwing "The biggest party of her life," as someone said to me recently.
So should I get overwhelmed? Of course. But should I enjoy every much-anticipated minute of it? Absolutely. For in the swirls of caterers and photographers, and decisions on linens and cake toppers, there is one choice I don't even question - to marry the man of my dreams, the one with whom I've shared laughter and tears, the one who I decided long ago was the one I wanted to spend the rest of my life with - and I've never been more sure of anything in my life.

Are we going to Scream again?
Hey, I hope everyone is having a great weekend! Tomorrow I plan on going to the local Apple Festival downtown and get my fall goodies this year. This Apple Festival normally has real kettle corn popcorn, many different food vendors, and a lot of cool little jewelry and craft stations. I bought five pairs of earrings last year that were seasonally-themed, and a whole bag of delicious kettle corn popcorn. I can't wait!
Speaking of fall.....Anyone have any good Halloween costumes planned for this year? I've seen a lot of e-mails going around giving tips on how to dress like Lady Gaga. Anyone daring to have a Poker Face or a Bad Romance this Halloween? lol
I also read in a magazine that the movie "Scream 4" is being planned for next April. It will reunite the original cast including Courtney Cox. Are you someone that has to see this latest installment, or are you someone who will pass on this release? I'm one that will pass on this, as I don't do slasher movies too well.

A New Website on PVCs
I'm not sure how many people know, but I have frequent PVC's, which are Premature Ventricular Contractions in the heart, and it can be be uncomfortable and scary. It feels like your heart skips a beat. If you can imagine how it would feel if your heart "hiccupped" a lot, obviously many would be worried, also. While I have been to the cardiologist and was told my heart is healthy and strong, and many people have PVCs, I still get anxiety when the PVCs occur. Sometimes they go away for a while, and sometimes, (like recently), they come back in full force.
I have been asking God to heal me of these PVCs, and I believe He will.
I have also found an interesting website during my research that has soothed my anxiety somewhat because it lets me know that there are other people out there with the same symptoms that I have.

Graduation and Beyond...
So, here I am, three months before graduation...and when I think about it, I kind of get scared. I have waited to get out of college really since I started. I have longed to walk across a stage in effort to grab my diploma that will symbolize all the stress, all the late nights, and all the studying and time consumption that has constituted my life for the last four years.
I'm don't feel overwhelmingly frightened, but I do feel like, "Ok, now that I've got my degree, what now?"
I know I will start looking for a job within my field, but it's the fact that I will actually be starting my career that has me stop in my tracks when I think about it.
I'm definitely ready to take the next step in my life, and I look forward to each step the future will bring, especially having a place of my own. Even Sean said, "You'll actually have to do laundry." Well, he has no room to talk, he doesn't do laundry, either. :)
But I definitely recognize that this is a turning point in my life and I am optimistic for the change, but at the same time...I am curious about the unknown.
